Candle Care & Tips
At The BONDed Wick, our candles are hand-poured with care — and we want you to enjoy each one safely and fully. Here are a few tips to help you get the most from your flame.
Wax Has a Memory
The first burn matters. Let your candle melt to the edges of the jar the first time you light it — this helps avoid tunneling and ensures an even, long-lasting burn with the best fragrance throw.
Wick Wisdom
Trim your wick to about ¼ inch before each burn. This helps keep the flame steady, prevents excess soot, and allows your candle to burn cleanly and evenly. If your flame grows too large or flickers wildly, blow it out, let the wax cool, trim the wick, and relight. Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Where You Burn Matters
Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep it away from drafts, open windows, vents, and anything flammable. Never leave a burning candle unattended or burn while sleeping. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Burn Bright, Stay Safe
Discontinue use when about ¼" of wax remains. Never add dried flowers, herbs, or other materials to the wax — anything foreign can pose a fire risk. Do not spray room sprays or flammable products near a lit candle. Avoid touching or moving your candle while the wax is hot or melted. Never extinguish with water — use a snuffer or gently blow it out.
Enjoy the glow — and thank you for welcoming The BONDed Wick into your space.
