FAQ

What ingredients are in your candles?

Each BONDed Wick candle is hand-poured in Vermont using a clean-burning blend of coconut and soy wax, along with premium, non-toxic fragrance oils. We never use paraffin, dyes, or harmful additives. Our clean scents are phthalate-free and carefully selected to ensure safety for your home, your pets, and the planet. Our cotton wicks are always lead- and zinc-free for a truly mindful burn.

What are "clean fragrance oils"?

Clean fragrance oils are blends made without phthalates, parabens, or other harmful chemicals often found in traditional fragrances. While we don’t use essential oils, our fragrance oils are rigorously tested for safety and designed to meet strict health standards — offering the same evocative scent experience without compromising on air quality or sustainability.

What is coconut-soy wax?

Coconut-soy wax is a natural, renewable wax blend made from hydrogenated soybean oil and sustainably sourced coconut. It burns longer and cleaner than paraffin, creating minimal soot while offering excellent scent throw. It’s also biodegradable and a great eco-conscious alternative to petroleum-based waxes.

Are your candles vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. All of our ingredients — from wax to fragrance to wick — are vegan and cruelty-free. We are committed to using materials that align with our values of sustainability and kindness.

How long do the BONDed Wick candles burn?

With proper care, our 7 oz candles offer approximately 30–45 hours of burn time. Be sure to follow our Candle Care guidelines to get the most out of each burn.

What is “tunneling,” and how do I avoid it?

Tunneling happens when only the center of the wax melts, leaving the wax stuck to the sides. This can shorten your candle’s life. To prevent tunneling, allow the wax to melt fully to the edges of the jar during your first few burns. This creates a full melt pool and sets the stage for an even, long-lasting burn.

Can I fix a tunneled candle?

Yes! One trick: wrap a collar of aluminum foil around the top edge of your candle, leaving an opening at the center. Let it burn for 1–2 hours. The trapped heat should help level out the surface by melting the remaining wax.

When should I stop burning my candle?

We recommend discontinuing use when there’s about ½ inch of wax left. Burning lower than that can cause the jar to overheat and may compromise the stability of the wick, which could become unanchored.

What is your return policy?

Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. That said, your satisfaction matters deeply. If there’s ever an issue with your order, please reach out — we’re here to make it right.
